Formula DRIFT Launches Its Own In-House Content Studio
FD Studios signed Larry Chen Photography — the series' official photographer since 2012 — as its first outside creator partner.
Formula DRIFT has relaunched FD Studios, a dedicated in-house division for content creation covering both the PRO and PROSPEC championships, based out of the series' Long Beach headquarters. Longtime Formula DRIFT staffers Joyce Leung and Teo Corrales were named Co-Directors, overseeing content strategy, sponsor content, and broadcast rights.
Larry Chen Photography — Formula DRIFT's official photographer since 2012 and a Formula DRIFT Hall of Fame recipient — is the first outside creator partner signed to the new studio. "Formula DRIFT has always been my home," Chen said of the arrangement. "It's been an absolute honor to be the official photographer since 2012." Leung added: "We're excited to enter this new chapter with FD Studios, and look forward to producing fresh and engaging content for the fans to enjoy."
It's a small structural move, but a telling one — a motorsport series that built much of its early audience through independently-run drift media is now bringing that same visual language in-house, with the person most responsible for its photographic identity as the first name attached.
